Speculation ran rampant after various news outlets noticed the listing of a Game of Thrones season five preview special titled "A Day In The Life" on the February schedule for HBO Go. Would this be our first look at season five?

Yes and no. HBO is finally spilling the beans on what exactly the behind-the-scenes special will be about, and don't expect any major season five revelations. The half-hour documentary will cover one day of filming the show across three different sets in three different countries, as it follows key crew members and promises to put a spotlight on the "the epic sets, renowned cast and global scale of Thrones, as well as the more intimate and individual challenges of our subjects, giving the audience a new perspective on one of the most elaborate productions in television history," according to Entertainment Weekly.

Not what you were expecting? It sounds about right from the name "A Day In The Life," and will likely be similar to season previews in years past. The one below was for season four. While it does focus on the "making of" aspect of the show, it does provide a few glimpses as to where the upcoming season four was headed. We can expect something similar from this new special, though what "key crew members" the documentary will follow is still up in the air.

Game of Thrones: A Day In The Life will air on HBO Feb. 8. In the meantime there is plenty of speculation to read up on about what Jon Snow actor Kit Harrington's new haircut might mean for his character. If you absolutely cannot wait for the season five premiere on April 12, you can go watch the final two episodes of season four on the big, big screen at an IMAX theater near you.
