Apple announced that it would host an Apple Watch Activity Challenge for Earth Day on Apr. 22. However, there is another one coming at the end of April.

On Apr. 29, Apple will hold an Activity Challenge for International Dance Day that requires doing a dance workout of 20 minutes or more.

Apple to Launch Activity Challenge

Apple said in a statement that the dance workout of 20 minutes or more would be launched on International Dance Day on Apr. 29, and Apple users will earn an award, according to 9to5Mac.

Apple users need to record their workouts through the Apple Workout app or any app that adds workouts to Apple Health.

Apple Watch Activity Challenges are meant to promote using the Apple Watch for fitness and act as a way for the tech company to guide users into taking advantage of the workout tracking features.

If a user successfully completes the challenge with any workout app that adds the data to Apple's Fitness app, they will be able to unlock the virtual achievement on the iPhone, Apple Watch, and in Apple's Messages app.

The user will also be able to gain access to exclusive stickers that can be used in the Apple Messages app, FaceTime, and other messaging apps.

Users can also complete the challenge using Apple Fitness+, which is the tech company's own workout service that offers a variety of different categories of content. Apple Fitness+ does offer dance workouts and workout routines.

Apple Watch users will be notified about the new Earth Day Activity Challenge days before it starts.

Earth Day Challenge

On Apr. 12, MacRumors reported that users would be able to complete an Activity Challenge on Earth Day, and it is an opportunity for them to earn a special badge and iMessage stickers.

In order to complete the Activity Challenge for Earth Day, users must do any workout for 30 minutes or longer on Apr. 22.

Just like the challenge for International Dance Day, the Activity Challenge for Earth Day can be recorded in the Fitness app or in any app that can send data to the Apple Health app.

Once the Activity Challenge becomes available to Apple Watch users before Earth Day, they will see the message "Let's get moving and celebrate the planet."

Apple Watch users who complete the Activity Challenge will be able to unlock a special badge in the Apple Fitness app, together with a series of animated stickers that they can use in FaceTime and Messages apps.

Apple Watch Series 8

The challenges announced by Apple for both Earth Day and International Dance Day came after the tech giant revealed the features that Apple Watch Series 8 will have.

According to Business Today, the Apple Watch Series 8 will offer an improved version of the atrial fibrillation detection feature that should be able to calculate how often someone is in a state of atrial fibrillation over a certain period.

The Apple Watch 8 will also feature a body-temperature sensor, but it will only help with fertility planning.
