According to Comicbook Gaming, Warner Bros. Discovery is planning to sell its company to other names in the industry, and the leak said that it would give its entirety to the stakeholder. The information came to light recently, but many companies are already interested in its acquisition, with notable names already stepping up to own Warner.

Fanbyte's Imran Khan first talked about this online, but it remains speculation as it does not have enough supporting details to corroborate this information. The leaker caught a whiff of the corporate sellout to the chosen bidder, a massive turn of events for its operations.

Warner Bros. Discovery is one of the largest mass media and entertainment companies globally, with many rights to franchises including the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, DC Comics, The Matrix, and more.

It is also unknown if the company is selling its entirety or only stakes to its gaming department.

Sony, Xbox, EA to Acquire Warner Bros. Discovery?

WB Discovery is one massive company that brings many of the famous media entities the world knows of now, and a talk of its sale comes as a shock to the world.

However, it is an opportunity for others, especially those aiming to have stakes in the company for their future ventures. Names like Sony, Microsoft's Xbox, EA, and Take-Two Interactive were among Khan's mentioned companies interested in the acquisition

Warner Bros. and its Games

Warner Bros. brought many titles to the public for all the entities they own, focusing on a media franchise that stems from games to series, movies, and more. One of the latest titles under Warner Bros. Discovery is the "Hogwarts Legacy," which brings gamers to the prequel of the famous wizarding school in the United Kingdom.

The company is also known for owning DC Comics, where multiple superhero and character names get a feature in movie franchises and games from the company.

The famous superhero organization known as the "Justice League" and its favorite characters like Superman, The Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and more have appeared in films and games from Warner.

Due to Warner Bros. owning the franchise to many massive names in the entertainment industry, it also holds the rights over its distribution. Selling means that all of the names under its own will also transfer to the company that will win the acquisition deal with them, but that is yet to come as it is an insider leak for now.
