This new in-game tech can make cheaters blind, preventing them from seeing their enemies. Thanks to this, gamers can easily kill unfair players during their matches.

"While the team is hard at work testing and deploying a variety of new mitigation and detection techniques, "

Activision said they are still testing Ricochet enhancements before being deployed into the game. They are now focusing on a new anti-cheat method upgrade that can annoy hackers.

"We wanted to highlight something that's been spotted in the wild: Cloaking," said Activision via its official blog post

'Call of Duty' Ricochet Leaves Cheaters Blind in Matches!

According to VG247's latest report, Cloaking is a new anti-cheat method that can prevent cheaters' ability to detect their enemies.

This simply means that they can't see other gamers. Aside from this, Cloaking also prevents them from hearing the footsteps and gunfire sounds.

To annoy hackers even more, Activision clarified that gamers not using any cheat will not be affected by the new Cloaking feature. On the other hand, fair gamers can benefit from the new anti-cheat method.

They can easily identify cheaters if they are just walking towards anything or hollering around. If a gamer is acting differently, then there's a high chance that the new Ricochet Cloaking feature will affect them.

Ricochet Banning Status

Activision announced that its Ricochet anti-cheat software helped prevent and identify thousands of cheaters.

The giant game publisher said around 90,000 accounts were banned in the recent wave, saying that this number is just an additional ban in its previous mass account restriction, which identified more than 54,000 cheaters.
