Elon Musk appeared in a video posted by the European Commission's Commissioner for Internal Market, Thierry Breton, where both talked about content regulation for Twitter's future. Both said they are on the same page, and their plans align with the views of the private social media owner and the regulatory body from the EU region.

It also focuses on the Digital Services Act (DSA), one of the projects of the EU.

Elon Musk, EU Commissioner On the 'Same Page'

Thierry Breton posted a video online, and it shows both himself and the Tesla CEO and multi-tech owner, Elon Musk, as they discuss the future of Twitter and what will happen in the coming months. It shows that both entities open up discussion on bringing their social media to greater heights, aligning their goals together.

Musk followed up with a tweet and said that they are on the same page and that their meeting together went "great." It only means that both executives are working together for Twitter's progression. It will give them more to the coming restructuring of the social media for a better tomorrow, in line with the goals of what the EU wants for its region.

Twitter Content Regulation Under DSA?

One of the focuses of Breton and Musk's meeting is Twitter's content regulation under the DSA, with the new prohibition under the European Union having a fierce grasp on everything that comes and goes. However, it would be a long and massive process in the coming months and years, primarily as it would focus on restructuring Twitter from its previous setup.

Elon Musk and Twitter

Twitter and its new private owner, Elon Musk, have come a long way from their beginnings, from the CEO's use of the platform to market his many companies, including Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Co., Neuralink, and more. Now, he owns the platform and is the largest stakeholder in the company, with a massive $44 billion stake apart from his initial 9.2 percent stake in social media.

However, an essential part of Musk's campaign on Twitter is free speech for all sides, and it would have no holds barred for the different spectrum of the social media world. This campaign means that there would be a "more free" experience on Twitter, as long as it would not violate any laws that people will face once it gets restructured.

Now, Musk and Twitter are coming together on a single goal and the free speech that would be available to all users from all parts of the world. Moreover, it got a higher platform as it aligns its ideologies with the DSA, one of the most controversial laws in the EU that got Apple and Google on its hands for its strict regulations and observations of its policies.
