Research released by SellCell.com talked about the depreciation value of the top smartphone flagships in the world now, and it is with the Samsung Galaxy S22 and the Apple iPhone 13. The company also included the Google Pixel 6 device in the equation, and it focuses on the three flagships that are leading America's top devices now.

Among the three smartphone devices, Samsung's Galaxy S22 is the biggest loser of them all, as it presents a range of 46.8 to 51.1 percent on its value on average in the market. Comparing it to the Phone 13, it has a depreciation value of 3.8 to 4.7 percent only.

It also talked about how much Samsung lost in the first two months since its release, and it is not comparable to Apple as the company recovered its losses after the said period.

MacRumors said that Samsung has a lot to experience and go-to for its value retention to remain high sometime after the release of its handheld devices. Despite having top specs and many features to offer, it does not come near to Apple's depreciation value which is kept at a low minimum.

It also equates to the fact that it is an Android device, a problem that the Google OS is experiencing at present.

Samsung's Devices and Apple's Devices

Sometimes, one of the factors that people consider for their smartphones is if they will still be able to trade them in for a higher discount or sell them for a higher value in the used marketplace after several months or years. In the recent refurbished smartphone sales in 2021, reports bring Apple to be the top-selling device here, ahead of competitors like Samsung, Huawei, Google, and more.

However, Samsung also gets an edge over Apple with their deliveries and shipments to their many retailers and customers in the smartphone competition in last year's Fall season. The two Big Tech companies are famous for their long-standing rivalry against each other, each device having one contender for the people to choose from and purchase.

Android or iOS? Samsung or Apple? It boils down to a person's preferences whenever it comes to these choices, as they will be the ones to use the phones for their needs. However, in terms of market depreciation and the value that their used devices or even brand new ones are concerned with, Apple is taking another step in the victory platform.
