Launched in 2021, Apple iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra were launched, and they immediately became the best tablets around.

However, many tech consumers are still confused about which tablet to get. Both offer great performance. But only one shall win. Here is a deep dive into the tablet's specifications, features, availability, and pricing to determine what makes each one stand out.

iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Specifications

Bot the iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra have an aluminum frame and back, and they both got a glass front. As for their display, the iPad Pro has 12.9-inch "Liquid Retina XDR" mini-LED display, while the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has 14.6-inch Super AMOLED.

For the RAM and storage, the iPad Pro has 128GB/256GB storage, but the RAM is not disclosed, while the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has a storage of 128/256/512GB and RAM of 8/12/16GB.

iPad Pro and Galaxy S8 Ultra Pricing and Availability

Both the iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, together with other models in the series, including the smaller 11-inch iPad Pro or standard Galaxy Tab S8, are all currently on sale, according to MacRumors.

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra both tablets start at $1,099 for 128GB of storage and just WiFi connectivity, with prices going up for 5G connectivity and more storage.

iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Hardware and Design

As for the design, there isn't too much to point out because all tablets follow the same aluminum rectangle design language, according to LaptopMag.

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra made headlines for its massive 14.6-inch screen, and it is noticeably wider, depending on orientation than most tablets. The iPad Pro is 12.9-inch, so there is an 11-inch difference between the two, but it is not drastic.

They both weigh close enough, with the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra coming in at 726g and the iPad Pro at 685g. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is also thinner at 5.5mm than the iPad Pro's 6.4mm.

iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Accessories

For high-end tablets, it is important to factor in accessories like keyboards and stylus because they are so crucial to the overall experience.

For the stylus, Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has it all figured out. The S-Pen is included with the package, while Apple's Pencil is an extra purchase of $129.

As for keyboards: both Apple's Magic Keyboard and Samsung's Book Cover Keyboard are pricy, as they cost $349 each. If you own the smaller 11-inch iPad Pro, then the keyboard's price drops to $299.

However, Samsung has always given away the keyboard accessory as a free gift upon purchase in many regions, while Apple's Magic Keyboard has always been a full-on purchase.

Samsung's keyboard case design is a clunky two-part case with a kickstand that does not sit well on a lap.

While both keyboards are excellent, the Magic Keyboard's trackpad is better, giving me more precision control over the on-screen cursor than Samsung's trackpad, which can be slippery.
