Elon Musk applauds Netflix's latest move telling its "woke" employees to quit if they are offended or disagree with the new work culture rules of the streaming giant.

Elon Musk vs. Netflix's 'Woke Mind Virus'

The CEO and founder of giant tech firms Tesla and SpaceX, Musk himself, previously put the blame on the "wokeness" of Netflix for its dwindling subscriber count these days.

The billionaire, who is fond of posting his unconventional hot takes on his official Twitter account, blurted out what he believes to be making Netflix "unwatchable."

Musk states that "the woke mind virus is" the reason why subscribers are leaving the giant streaming service, which houses hit content like "Stranger Things."

The tweet of the tech entrepreneur comes as the shares of Netflix dramatically collapsed after the streaming service admitted that it is consistently losing its subscriber base.

As per a news story by USA Today, during the time that Musk shared his take on Netflix, the share price of the streaming service was at its lowest in years.

Netflix Tells 'Woke' Employees to Quit

Meanwhile, the giant streaming service, which competes with rivals like Disney Plus and HBO Max, introduced new work culture guidelines to its employees, according to a recent report by INC.com.

Netflix detailed the new rules in a memo that goes by the title "Netflix Culture - Seeking Excellence," reiterating the core values and principles of the tech giant.

The memo says that "not everyone will like-or agree with-everything on our service."

It also states that its employees are there to support the "diversity of stories" that Netflix offers - even if they find some content to be against their personal values.

The internal memo further told employees that they "may need to work on titles" even if they deem it to be harmful.

And if a Netflix employee could not find a way to support its content, the streaming service wrote that it "may not be the best place for you."

Essentially, the California-based streaming giant is telling its "woke" workforce to leave if they disagree with the content that Netflix is pushing for.

Elon Musk Applauds Netflix's Move

As expected, Musk, who took a swipe against the "woke culture" in Netflix, applauded the new guidelines, as per a report by Business Insider.

The Tesla CEO responded to the new policy, saying that it was a "good move" by the giant streaming service.

Business Insider further explained in its story that it is the first time that Netflix updated its work culture rules, adding a new "Artistic Expression" part.
