Elon Musk promises that there will be one million Tesla FSD enrollments before 2022 ends. This is quite different from what he previously announced.

Recently, the billionaire claimed that they would mass-produce the long-awaited Tesla robotaxis. Many people were excited since these service EVs will not have any steering wheel and pedal.

Now, it seems like Musk has something new, again. During the All-in Summit event, he shared his new plan regarding the Tesla FSD Beta program.

"We got over 100,000 in the beta, so it's not tiny, and we will be expanding that to probably 1 million people by the end of the year," said Elon via Electrek's latest report.

Elon Musk's Promises 1 Million Tesla FSD Beta Enrollment

The Tesla CEO had some promises that were delayed multiple times. These include his robotaxis. He already hinted at the arrival of the new self-driving service EVs in 2020.

However, because of interruptions, he pushed his plan several times. With his new FSD Beta program goal, there's a high chance that the Tesla robotaxi mass production will be pushed back again.

But, Elon Musk hasn't confirmed this detail yet. All he said was that he would try to increase the Tesla FSD Beta program users to one million.

As of writing, the FSD feature is still imperfect since drivers can't completely rely on it when they are on the road. Because of this, the automaker always reminds drivers to have their attention on the road even when the Tesla FSD is activated.

Since this autonomous tech is still receiving fixes and enhancements, achieving one million users might be difficult. If you want to see further details about the new plan of Musk, you can visit this link.

Tesla FSD Issues

The advanced Tesla FSD has been linked to numerous accidents for the past few years. InsideEVs recently reported that a Tesla Model 3 crashed while the autonomous feature was activated.

However, the system activated the brake since there was a Honda truck beating the red light. Although this accident can be blamed on the speeding car, the reaction of FSD still shows that it still needs more enhancements.

Meanwhile, Tesla Uber vehicles are now expected to arrive as comfort electric car services.

On the other hand, the Tesla overheating CPU issue led to a massive recall.
