If you want to secure a console, you can go for the Xbox Series S instead of the X model. It's still a viable gaming gadget despite the appearance of several consoles, including PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam Deck.

Xbox Surpasses PlayStation in Japan

For the first time in Japan since 2014, Xbox reportedly surpassed PlayStation in sales for the consoles. According to Forbes, this is possible knowing that searching for PS5 has become much harder.

To note, Microsoft posted better sales results than Sony following the 6,120 sold units from Xbox Series S. Meanwhile, the more advanced Xbox Series X was able to sell 105 units.

PlayStation, on the other hand, managed to sell 2,240 units for its disc version. Meanwhile, there were 453 units of the digital edition sold by the company.

Outside this comparison, Nintendo has been successful in its Switch sales recently. The game publisher was able to sell 35,868 units of the console in the country.
