We've all been guilty of rocking out and lip-syncing to a catchy tune at least once in our life. It doesn't matter who you are. When the right tune pops out at just the right moment, you can't help but belt out and put on your best moves. Even if you're a police officer sitting alone in the car -- or at least seemingly alone.

Case in point, the Dover Police Department in Delaware posted a video on YouTube and Facebook showcasing the energetic and infectious moves of a 19-year veteran officer Master Cpl. Jeff Davis shaking off to Taylor Swift's hit song "Shake It Off."

The video is part of Dover Police Department's web series. The group posted on Facebook:

"While reviewing dashcam footage, we come across some interesting sights to say the least. We decided we would share some with you in a new web series called 'Dash Cam Confessionals.' We hope you enjoy this ... and Taylor Swift if you're watching ... we're sorry."

Though the video was staged and shot in a Dover parking lot, it has the well-intentioned and very timely goal to wipe away the stigma and perception the public has of bully cops.

"We're trying to humanize police officers, people tend to look at us as robots with uniforms and gun belts so we wanted to a show a lighter side of our force," said Dover Police Department spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.

With over 17 million views and counting, many people can't help but join in and sing along while watching officer Davis head bob and sing his heart out while driving along the streets of Dover.

Even Taylor Swift herself got wind of this feel-good clip. She tweeted a response showing her appreciation by giving props to Officer Davis' "sass."
