MachineGames is working on the Indiana Jones game, but it seems that it won't just be exclusive to Xbox. 

Although little is known about the game as of now, Window Central's Jez Corden spoke on the Xbox Two podcast about the game. Corden said that the game isn't exclusive to Xbox when asked by his co-host, Rand al Thor.

He also added that he's known this information way back and "maybe something has changed." 

If this is true, it may be due to the agreement between Bethesda and Disney before the Xbox deal, and Xbox is honoring that agreement. Still, there is a chance that it will show up at the upcoming Xbox summer showcase event in June. 

Indiana Jones hasn't had a game since the early 2010s. However, Disney is also working on a fifth Indiana Jones film that is expected to be the last film in the series for Harrison Ford. 

It is also unsure whether Ford will star in the game, but the president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy recently stated that they would never do another Indiana Jones film without Ford, but it's unclear if that applies to the games as well.

Details Still Under Wraps

MachineGames remains mum about the game information, but so far, we know that Todd Howard is the executive producer. MachineGames has also said, "As huge fans of the franchise, it's a tremendous honor for us to create a brand-new Indiana Jones game with a completely original story. We're very excited and can't wait to share more in the future."

Indiana Jones was announced early last year and will be in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This marks the first major project for the newly rebranded Lucasfilm Games that has announced a new era for the company. 

The company also added at the time that it will take some time before they have information to reveal. 

However, in a separate post on StarWars.com, Lucasfilm said that some clues to the setup of the game could be found in a teaser trailer that was revealed during the announcement. 

It looks like the game will feature smooth, intuitive action and crips visuals. Also in the trailer, a ticket to Rome that's dated October 21, 1937 was seen, which places the adventure between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. 

Could the Release Date Be Next Summer?

The latest Indiana Jones film is set to be released next summer, and it's likely that Bethesda will align the release of the game with the movie. 

For now, fans are excited for the new Indiana Jones games, especially that it's coming from studios that are known for producing high-quality titles.
