According to a report by Bloomberg, Siemitkowski said that he has some "mixed feelings" about the list. The 40-year-old founder added that this decision has been difficult for him so far.

On LinkedIn, it's usual to see posts coming from a company CEO. However, it appears that Siemitkowski's writeup was not well-received by the audience on the job-seeking platform.

Just a few moments after the Klarna CEO posted the employee list. Many people have quickly left their reactions about it. Some are angry about it, while others say it's "tone-deaf."

Although many have criticized Sebastian, some praised him for luring potential recruiters. For instance, Sweden-based trading union Finansforbundet has noticed the list and immediately requested Klarna to discuss some details about it.

According to Ulrika Boethius, the president of the union, they were not informed about the layoffs that took place. Additionally, they expected the company to release advanced information about the list, but it was only shared on social media.

What People Think About Klarna's LinkedIn Post

In a report by Livemint on Wednesday, June 1, one user who claimed to have worked with Klarna said that he left the company a month after joining them.

"I left klarna one month after I joined. Best decision I made. Klarna is the most chaotic place I've ever been a part of and knew immediately that something like a big layoff was just a matter of time. Klarna needs to learn how to be lean, fix problems instead of throwing more ppl at it (and then letting go a bunch once you realize that costs a lot of (money)," the person wrote.

According to another commenter, what Klarna did wasn't smart in publicly posting the terminated employees' email addresses. The person added that the company should make a dedicated list that will help the recruiters.

Another user agreed that the confidential list is a "goldmine" for the recruiters. While it's good that recruiters can find potential employees out of them, this would harm their personal data since bad actors can take advantage of them.

In another LinkedIn-related story, Tech Times reported that new job titles had been added to the platform. Interestingly, "stay-at-home dad" and "stay-at-home mom" are now officially job titles that people could explore, especially during a pandemic.
