Elon Musk finally met Twitter's employees after he successfully conducted the virtual town hall meeting on Thursday, June 16.

This conference is a much-needed one since the social media platform's staff were wanting to clarify things with the billionaire since he wants to complete acquire Twitter. 

During the virtual meeting, Musk shared his plans with employees who are excellent at their work on the platform. Now, here are other things he shared during the virtual town hall conference.

According to The Verge's latest report, Musk said that if a Twitter employee is doing his/her job excellently, then they can still work remotely.

"If someone can only work remotely, and they're exceptional, it wouldn't make sense to fire them. Definitely not in favor of things that are mad," said the billionaire. 

Employees were recently asking Musk about his stance regarding WFH scenarios since he is laying off Tesla employees. Previously, the tech CEO sent an email to his Tesla executive staff, saying that remote work is no longer acceptable. 

He added that Tesla workers need to spend a minimum of 40 hours a week in physical Tesla offices. Because of this, Twitter staff became worried since they believe that Elon can also do it with the social media company. 

But, Musk has already clarified this issue. If you are an excellent Twitter employee, then you can still work from home without being laid off.  

Musk Wants Extreme Tweets To Be Allowed

Aside from clarifying the WFH status of Twitter employees, Bloomberg reported that Musk also wants the social media platform to be more open when it comes to the actual tweets. 

He said that "outrageous" statements on the platform should be allowed. The billionaire further explained that Twitter must provide more space for users so that they can say whatever they want.
