The iOS 16 developer beta is already out for those that can't wait for the official launch of the operating system later this year. Getting the iOS 16 on the iPhone is a fairly easy process and requires little to no technical knowledge.

Apple iOS 16 Release Date Expected on September 19

Apple announced the iOS 16 preview saying users will get a log more enhancements and personalized features with the upgrade. An article by MacWorld states that the official iOS 16 could be launching on September 19 of this year.

For those that can't wait until the official release of the iOS 16 and want to try out the developer beta immediately, there is a way to get it right away. An article by The Verge details a simple method regarding how to try out the developer beta version of Apple's newest operating system for the iPhone. 

Here's How to Get the iOS 16 Developer Beta:

Step 1: Log in to the Apple developer site. The site needs an account that costs $99 per year.

Step 2: Once in your account, go to the "Downloads" button

Step 3: Click on "Install Profile"

Step 4: Tap "Allow"

Step 5: Go to the "Settings" app

Step 6: Look for the "Profile Downloaded" option located under the Apple ID profile

Step 7: Click on Install

Step 8: Input your account's passcode

Step 9: Read the terms and conditions agreement

Step 10: Click on "Install" two more times

Step 11: The iPhone will restart

Step 12: Go to "Settings"

Step 13: Click on "General"

Step 14: Choose "Software Update"

Step 15: Select "Download and Install"

Step 16: Enjoy the new iOS 16 developer beta operating system.

For those that are developing apps for the newest iOS 16, you'll have to go through a different set of steps after the iPhone restarts. After the iPhone restarts, you'll have to do the following:

Step 12: Go to "Settings"

Step 13: Select "General"

Step 14: Choose "Privacy & Security"

Step 15: Scroll down

Step 16: Toggle "Developer Mode" in order to access the app development features required.

iOS 16 Operating System Access for iPhones

Although this seems like a lengthy process, as long as users follow it step by step, they can easily gain access to the iOS 16 operating system for their iPhones. For developers, gaining access is important since it will allow them to make adjustments to their app in order to keep up with Apple's requirements.

According to an article by 9to5Mac, Apple notes that for those developing apps for Apple products, the Developer Mode will let them use certain features that are required for the app development. Developers, however, have to be careful since the article notes that when Developer Mode is on, their device's security will then be reduced.

This means that for developers that want to use the iOS 16 developer beta, it is important to have other means of security for the device where the operating system will be installed.
