With over 11 million followers on YouTube and an unparalleled dedication to Minecraft, Technoblade stole the hearts of many through an assortment of hilarious videos stemming all the way back to 2013. In his latest video, titled simply "so long nerds," the legendary YouTuber is replaced by his father, sharing a heartwarming and sorrowful goodbye to his many fans in the wake of his passing untimely to cancer at the age of 23.

"Hello everyone! Technoblade here. If you are watching this, I am dead," the creator says in his own words to the backdrop of Minecraft. The video has soared to the number one trending spot on YouTube, sitting at 20 million views as of writing with over 3 million likes and counting. In no less than 13 hours, it has already amounted to half of Technoblade's most-watched video, a 42 million strong 45-second video from eight years ago of him proving he did not auto click.

Technoblade first revealed his cancer diagnosis back in August 2021, wherein he divulged a type of pain felt in his right arm, which led him to a doctor. He merely considered the discomfort to be repetitive strain syndrome but would eventually be diagnosed with a rare cancer that grows in connective tissues of the body, called sarcoma. In the video, he admits to feeling "silly talking about this with Minecraft in the background," adding, "But I am a Minecraft YouTuber."

The YouTube creator grew into infamy through many, many years dedicated to the platform, first starting out on a channel called StudioLore at the age of 10. Through such collaborations and high-caliber content, Technoblade no sooner made a name for himself, joining Dream SMP in 2020, which led to his being saddled up alongside such legends in Minecraft content creation as Quackity, Jschlatt, and TommyInnit.

Many of these very same identities would share their love and support for their friend on social media in the wake of his passing. Jschlatt wrote of the first time he met Technoblade, citing his skipping work to be a part of the creator's ongoing Minecraft tournament at the time. TommyInnit shared a screenshot of a note left by Technoblade in Minecraft, which reads:

"Tell the rest of the SMP that having abolished all governments of men, I have ascended to heaven to take on the Kingdom of God. Technoblade."

The family of Technoblade shared a lengthy statement at the end of the video, highlighting the family's necessity for privacy while also underscoring the creator's own long list of accomplishments. The family also posted a message to Technoblade's merchandise store, which states that a portion of all sales will go toward the Sarcoma Foundation of America.

In the video, Technoblade adds:

"Thank you all for supporting my content over the years. If I had another 100 lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every single time, as those were the happiest years of my life. I hope you guys enjoy my content and that I made some of you laugh and I hope you all go on to live long, prosperous, and happy lives. Because, I love you guys. Technoblade out."
