The Meta Quest VR headset required a Facebook account to sign in to use the many social interaction features it brings for the experience, but that is no longer needed now. There is a new social profile system that the company is requiring, and it is with the new Meta account that it would use to connect online.

Meta Quest's VR use no longer needs a Facebook account, and users may access its social experience already without the need to create an account on the social media platform. According to Meta, users will need a new account for this, called the "Meta Account," which would be the information people need to enter for access.

According to The Verge, Meta will bring the Meta accounts by August 2022, and the company will let people access their existing accounts for migration until January 2023. People with an Oculus account tied to their Facebook profiles will also have access to its changes until the first month of the following year.

Create your Meta Account for Quest VR Use

Creating a Meta account will no longer require Facebook, and it will give people the freedom and chance to experience the Quest VR's online features without the social media platform's requirements. It is a way to avoid mixing their Facebook accounts or creating one (if a person went with the Facebook Boycott) in their access to the Quest experience.

Meta Quest and its Ventures

Meta's Quest VR venture is at a high now, and it is because more people are accustomed to gaining access to the experience and the many features it brings to the world. Now that Meta has set up its version of the metaverse, more people want the online experience where they can live their life in the virtual world, with a 240% increase in global revenue this Q1 2022.

One of the many changes in the virtual reality world is how people use it and its online interactions, creating a new experience that puts games, apps, and social media on one platform. Also, it minimizes the need to sit in front of a screen and explore the worlds there, as people may go on their feet and head to their new life there.

There even is a new "Metaverse Standards Forum" which Meta, Microsoft, Disney, and other Big Tech companies are a part of for its regulation.

Meta is a famous company that went all-in with the metaverse, and now, it allows people to access the Quest VR experience without needing a Facebook account. It would require a new tab with Meta, but users without Facebook no longer need to create their social media to access the many social features of the mixed reality.
