Ever wondered what a continuous, never-ending game of Fortnite might look like? Bravo Ready is leveraging the age-old battle royale formula inherent in such games as Warzone and PUBG, then folding them onto the blockchain while integrating NFT avatars and so-called "win-to-earn" mechanics into the backdrop of its experience. Codenamed BR1: Infinite Royale, Bravo Ready's blockchain-based title takes battle royale to a whole new, seemingly unending playing field.

"This isn't just a new game - it's a new way to game," explains Bravo Ready CEO Evan Ryer in an interview with GamesBeat. "It fundamentally reinvents the financial side of being a player."

Unlike typical play-to-earn NFT and metaverse games wherein players automatically accrue tokens merely for playing, such as Axie Infinity or The Sandbox, BR1: Infinite Royale is billed as utilizing a "win-to-earn" model. This entails that players are required to pay a mere $1 to spawn within the world and can wager money on a particular match, gathering tokens for kills within that gaming period.

Bravo Ready was recently granted additional funding through the likes of Solana Ventures, Shima Capital, 6th Man Ventures, and Justin Kan, CEO of Fractal, a game-focused NFT marketplace. The additional capital comes in the form of $3 million, allowing Bravo Ready, a Montreal-based indie studio with a total of eight employees, to streamline its efforts on a broad scale through such avenues as enhanced software development parameters and underlying game formation.

BR1: Infinite Royale fuses automated smart contract technology with NFTs, bridging sophisticated metaverse concepts with typical, modern-day triple-A gaming. It is built entirely on Solana's blockchain and leverages the firm's cryptocurrency, SOL, as the game's tokenized earning incentive. For every kill a player makes in-game, they are awarded a corresponding SOL depending on how much both players wagered at the beginning of the match.

Bravo Ready debuted the alpha for BR1: Infinite Royale in Jan. and has since leveraged NFTs to allow players a suite of personalization and self-identification while playing. A total of 300 players exist on the map at any given time during a match, a remarkable number in the context of most traditional battle royales, which have at most 100 online players.

This also allows BR1 to utilize no real starting point, as players are spawned on the edge of the map and must work their way deeper into the fold, surviving while also collecting valuable resources, like weapons, equipment, ammo, and more. When defeating an opponent, players are allotted 10% of that player's holdings or they receive their spawn for free. Upon elimination, the player keeps 85% of the wages won from kills and then must pay the aforementioned $1 fee to respawn.

Bravo Ready's underlying character creation platform is of main importance for those interested in NFTs, as the firm leverages infinite unique characters for the purposes of in-game avatars. Each and every character model is uniquely designed through randomized colors and textures, allowing a host of options for players to choose from once a full collection has been generated.

For those interested in participating in an unending game of battle royale while also getting some crypto in the process, head over to the firm's official discord channel and try BR1: Infinite Royale for yourself.
