Apple iPhone 14 Increases Suppliers

As per the latest news story from 9to5Mac, the Cupertino-based firm is now gearing to start the mass production of the upcoming iPhone 14, the successor of its current iPhone 13, as it nears its debut this fall.

However, the online news outlet says that Apple is facing a few hiccups as it works to begin the mass production of its new mobile devices when it comes to its supply.

And as such, the iPhone maker has found a solution to keep up with the demand despite the looming supply issues for the upcoming flagship device.

Apple Inc.'s iPhone 11, iPhone11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max smartphones are displayed in the Apple Marunouchi store on September 20, 2019 in Tokyo, Japan. Apple launched the latest iPhone 11 models featuring a dual-camera system today.

The renowned phone maker has decided to expand the list of suppliers of the upcoming iPhone 14 lineup amid the supply mess.

No less than the reputable analyst Kuo shares to his followers on Twitter that Apple officially increased the number of iPhone 14 suppliers a few months ahead of its scheduled debut this September.

iPhone 14's New Supplier

Kuo specifically discloses in his recent tweet that the iPhone maker included SG Micro components as one of its suppliers for its upcoming flagship device.

9to5 Mac notes in its report that the analyst revealed that SG Micro aced the quality certification that Apple requires for its higher-end iPhone 14 smartphones.

Kuo shares that its certification garnered the "tier-1 level," which means that it would be responsible for the components of the more expensive and premium iPhones.

So it seems that the latest supplier of Apple will be working on the internals of the high-end iPhone 14 Pro and the top-of-the-line iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The news outlet states that the new iPhone 14 supplier, SG Micro, heavily specializes in integrated circuits.

Given that, the Cupertino giant will use the power management integrated circuitry of its new supplier for its upcoming mobile device.
