Annapurna Interactive has just released the first footage of a new game that looks just like a Jurassic Park survival horror game. The game comes from Great Ape Games and is called "The Lost Wild."
Survival Horror Game Lets Players Live in a World Haunted by Dinosaurs
According to the story by IGN, the game is coming to PC, and they received a first look at what the game is expected to look like. As per the publication, the game looks like a sort of survival horror game that can be played from a first-person perspective.
Players will be able to explore a dense jungle that is said to be full of dinosaurs, including some of them that are harmless-ish and plant-eating. One notable dinosaur that players can expect to see is the stegosaurus.
Game Shows a Whole Ecosystem of Different Types of Dinosaurs
Other dinosaurs, however, are clearly full of teeth and are ready to devour anyone they see as prey. The game also involves some sneaking around the jungle in order to avoid getting eaten by hungry dinosaurs.
There are also some really scary-looking interiors that are shown, including whiteboard notes which indicate science or research that is being done. At a certain moment, the player even tosses a flare in order to distract or confuse some of the scary dinos.
Game Gives Off Jurassic Park-Like Vibes
It is important to note that the game is not a licensed Jurassic Park game, as far as the publication can tell. It is, however, giving off a very Jurassic Park-like vibe in terms of design and the actual gameplay itself.
As per its website, the game describes itself as a first-person survival horror that takes an immersive and cinematic take on dinosaurs. The game aims to capture the terror of what they describe as "nature's most magnificent beasts."
In-Game Mechanics for 'The Lost Wild'
The website notes that players will be able to come face-to-face with certain dinosaurs that act more like wild animals instead of monsters. Players will be able to explore a prehistoric wilderness where they are somewhere at the center of the food chain.
Players will have to keep their heads down, stay alert, and try to evade certain attacks from hungry dinos. If everything fails, players can try to run away or even try to intimidate the dinosaurs through non-lethal weaponry.

'The Lost Wild' Release Date Expected to Launch in 2024
The results of the game show an intense cat and mouse-style gameplay where players try to avoid the fights that they cannot win. Players can also explore the lush wilderness and even team up with prehistoric life.
As listed on Steam, "The Lost Wild" is expected to release in 2024 by Annapurna Interactive and developed by Great Ape Games. It was also tagged under dinosaurs, survival horror, exploration, and stealth.
