An online and interactive map is now bringing the world a chance to locate notable people and known personalities' origins or birthplaces, and it is available for all via GitHub. It brings several names into the list, with the map creator and developer mentioning names like Queen Vocalist Freddie Mercury from Zanzibar, Tanzania, and Barack Obama from Honolulu, Hawaii.

An interactive map for all the notable people around the world, focusing on known names from different locations including that of Julius Caesar, Leonardo Da Vinci, Marco Polo, Freddie Mercury, Barack Obama, and more.

A geographer and developer from Mapbox, Topi Tjukanov, said that he created a new map called "Notable people" that is now available online to provide information for all users. It brings an interactive 3D globe that has the entire world available, and instead of featuring capitals that pop out of the places, it brings names of famous personalities.

The new online feature is available for many, and while it does not have a specific navigating function, it still is significant in one's research regarding their favorite personality or famous person.

Everyone may access the map and it will help in locating a certain personality's birthplace and origins from any part of the globe, with many known names available.

More Famous Individuals Have Bigger Names on the Map

Information on the personalities found via the map came from Wikipedia and Wikidata via a study that collected information regarding these people. The study published via Nature focused on different known names from 3500 BC to 2018 AD.

More famous personalities have bigger names on the map, and zooming in would feature others with lower rankings based on the study.

Getting lost now is not much of a problem as long as there is an internet connection via mobile data or WiFi, and one's device has enough charge to help in navigating in a certain place. One of the latest updates for Google Maps brings a realistic 3D view of tourist spots in the world, and that is available via the app for all users.

The data came from a significant study on known personalities, and users may click on the interactive map and locate the birthplaces of famous persons in the world.
