The new Mercedes-Benz EQV Camper is the most innovative RV Yellowcamper has ever offered. It was inspired by the yellow postal buses that have long provided a strong connection to some of Switzerland's most difficult-to-reach peaks and valleys, reported first by New Atlas

The versatile multipurpose RV, which can quickly change from a four-person camper van to an eight-person passenger van to an open cargo van, is advertised as the nation's first electric camper van!

Switzerland's First Electric Camper Van

The vivid yellow PostBus is a well-known representation of Swiss transportation, alongside on-time trains and cable and cog railways that scale seemingly impassable mountain slopes, according to New Atlas.

It serves as a vital transit link between a beginning point and an Alpine location that cannot be reached by other public transportation. The company Yellowcamper started constructing camper vans out of decommissioned  Swiss Post vans in the capital city of Bern in 2016.

Since then, Yellowcamper has expanded its business to include van conversions, camper rentals, and custom projects for both leisure and commercial clients, but the "Post" yellow continues to be a mainstay of its designs.

New Atlas noted that this yellow color occasionally brightens the detachable camper furnishings, and other times it injects a burst of liveliness into a neutral camper van.

The EQV Camper has easily recognized as a Yellowcamper thanks to its striking yellow color against the white backdrop of the vap, but the specific yellow stripes and letters have a dual significance, representing both Yellowcamper's postal past and its electric prospects.

The latter point is emphasized by the graphics of electric cords that droop down the van's sides.

EQV Camper's History

The EQV Camper was initially created by Yellowcamper as a customer commission in collaboration with the neighborhood Mercedes-Benz dealership Lorenz Commercial Vehicles. The van made its debut a year ago, and at the time, it was billed as Switzerland's first electric camper van.

Yellowcamper, which is currently based in Burdorf - a suburb of Bern, began with the more mobile Mercedes EQV 300 and assembled a relatively portable camper solution.

The EQV Camper's detachable interior design makes it simple for owners to remove unnecessary camper furniture and enjoy a zero-emission daily MPV with a Mercedes-estimated range of up to 226 miles (363 km)!

The EQV can be fast-charged from 10 to 80% n 40 minutes, according to Mercedes-Benz, and from 10 to 90 percent in 45 minutes, as per Yellowcamper.

The Swiss Camping and Caravanning Association (SCCV) and Yellowcamper are collaborating to create a national map of campsites with EV chargers or solid electrical supplies that can handle the load.

For a price of CHF107,689 (or at least US$113,100) after VAT, you can buy the Yellowcamper EQV Camper through Lorenz Mercedes.
