The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked is returning again this year; this time, we are about to witness the revelation of the newest pair of foldable phones.

When the event kicks off this week, we will get more information about the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 4.

Samsung Unpacked 2022 Launch Date

The Samsung Unpacked event is set to arrive in the next few days. If you want to check the Galaxy Z Fold and Z flip announcement, here's what you need to know.

According to a report by CNET, the upcoming Samsung event is about to start on Wednesday, Aug. 10. More importantly, this occasion will highlight the release of two next-gen phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4.

The foldable launch from the South Korean tech firm began in 2019. The phone maker then released the Galaxy Z Fold as its first foldable phone on the market.

As per the rumors, the upcoming foldables will be the upgraded version of the Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. Tipsters are quick to leave a comment regarding the event when they see the recent promotional art of the company.

Galaxy Z Fold Leaks

As per a story from The Verge, a leaker who goes by the name Ice Universe said that the Z Fold 4 will sport the same design as its predecessor.

To be exact, it will allegedly feature a 7.6-inch folding display. Meanwhile, its cover display will measure 6.2 inches.

When it comes to cameras, the Z Fold 4 will retain the oval camera bump located on the cover display. Again, users could take advantage of the triple camera setup with a 50MP, 12MP ultra-wide lens, and 10MP snapper. It will also include a 10MP outer cam.

Aside from that, it will have a Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 SoC to go with 12GB RAM. You can choose from the two models for storage: the 256GB and the 512GB storage. It is compatible with Android 12 OS.

For its power, it could potentially come with a 4,400mAh battery which supports 25W charging capability.

Galaxy Z Flip 4 Leaks

This time, known tipster Evan Bass teased that the Flip 4 will contain a "two-tone" design for the two back cameras. Samsung will also use a hole-punch notch, ditching the under-display camera this time.

As per Ice Universe, it will boast a "shallower" crease than the Z Flip 3. Moreover, the Z Flip 4 is arriving with a substantial upgrade in the form of a bigger notification display.

Other than that, it's allegedly debuting with a 3,700mAh battery, as well as Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 chip.

Apart from the two foldable phones, Samsung might be planning to release two new smartwatches in line with the Unpacked event 2022. The Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro could be the next wearable to watch out for before the "ber" months start.
