Tired of seeing VAL error code 19? Here's how to fix this new "Valorant" bug.

At around 9:30 A.M. CT, Aug. 8, "Valorant" gamers have been complaining about the annoying system error which does not allow them to play the game.

"There was an error connecting to the platform. Please restart your game client." This is usually an indication that you've got a problem with the Riot Client," the error reads.

For the players, there's nothing you can do to stop this bug completely. Dotesports writes that the only way that you can do at the moment is to restart your Riot client.

If it does not work on your end, there's a chance that your internet connection is wrecking your gameplay. These two techniques could be the solution you're looking for if you want to access "Valorant."

What If Restarting the Game Client Does Not Work

It might be a very frustrating attempt to witness if restarting the Riot client does not work. That way, there are no other fixes that you can test out if it fails.

However, Exputer says that there are different methods that you can still try besides restarting your client and making sure that your internet connection is stable.

Check the following ways to get started:

Double-Check "Valorant" Service Status

Make a regular visit to the "Valorant" service status by visiting this website. You can report an in-game issue that you can encounter here.

Run the Game as Admin

If checking the game's service status won't help, you might need to run the game as an administrator. Doing so will allow you to access a game without any limitations.

Declutter All 'Valorant-Linked' Tasks

From your task manager, end all running processes linked to "Valorant."

Do a Clean Boot

A PC restart proves nothing at the moment, but if you want to deep-clean the system, you will need to perform a "Clean Boot" for "Valorant."

Use a Reliable VPN

Sometimes, having a good VPN is the only way to save you from experiencing "Valorant" bugs. For instance, use a VPN that will bypass the VAL error code 19 in the game. For starters, you can use ProtonVPN for free.

Restart File Explorer System

Another way to fix the "Valorant" error code is to restart your File Explorer app. You can simply open the Task Manager and look for File Explorer.

As soon as you see it, just click it and choose "Restart."

Review Your PC's IP Settings

Other than that, you can check your PC settings linked to the IP. By opening the Command Prompt, run it as admin and type ipconfig/flushdns in the command space.

Then, write ipconfig/registerdns in the prompt, and wait until "Event Viewer" shows. It will take at least 15 minutes to appear. Lastly, use ipconfig/renew for the renewal of your DNS.

If none of these things work, we suggest you reinstall "Valorant" and reset all the in-game settings.
