"Avatar: The Last Airbender" has evolved from being a kid's anime to one of the most popular animes in the world. Now, fans of the series can enjoy the story even more with a new free-to-play mobile RPG game.

'Avatar: The Last Airbender' is Getting a New Game Called 'Avatar: Generations'

"Avatar: The Last Airbender" started out as a kids' anime, but with the progression of the story and character developments, just like "Naruto," the franchise has also gained massive attention from adults.

Now, the franchise is releasing a new free-to-play game for mobile users, which will be available on iOS and Android, according to Digital Trends. Those fans in Canada, South Africa, Denmark, and Sweden will already be able to access the game.

Game Could Give Fans a Deeper Understanding of the Franchise

For fans that are located in other countries or places, however, the game is expected to roll out to "other territories in the following months." The game will not be taking the same title as the anime but will be called "Avatar: Generations."

GameSpot reported the announcement via Twitter, noting that the game title will be expanding directly into the ATLA universe. The goal is to give fans a deeper understanding of the "Avatar" franchise.

Game Video Dropped on YouTube

According to Bleeding Cool, the game will be developed in partnership with Navigator Games, a studio based in Vancouver, and Paramount Consumer Products. A video of the game was uploaded by Gaming Mobile on YouTube.

As seen in the video, players will enjoy the party mechanics wherein different party members, including Ang, Sokka, and more, will take turns doing special skills to deal damage to the enemy.

Mobile Game Uses Turn-Based Mechanics Just Like with 'Final Fantasy'

One reason the game could work out is that the anime revolves around different elemental uses through bending skills. Like most party games, "Final Fantasy," for example, different elements are more effective compared to other elements.

Since the Avatar franchise is all about elements, players could use this to their advantage and use one element to deal additional damage to the enemy when they are using another element. However, it is important to note that since this is a mobile game, there will also be some popular mobile game mechanics.

Similarities of 'Avatar: Generations' with Other Mobile Games

As seen on the game's interface through the video, players will have an inventory, an inbox, and different types of currencies. This means that players might be able to send and receive different perks from another or from the game.

These details, however, have not yet been confirmed. For loyal fans of the franchise, the best thing to do is to wait until the game launches in your area.
