PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA - MARCH 09: A Tesla car recharges its battery at the Petaluma Supercharger on March 09, 2022 in Petaluma, California. With oil prices continuing to soar, shares for companies in the electric vehicle sector are rising as consumers look to trade their gas powered cars in for electric vehicles.

According to a tweet to the CEO of Tesla Owners Silicon Valley, there is a project that requested 8,300 orders of electric vehicles from Tesla, and it asks a lot from the company. It is a new startup, and Autonomy aims to focus on subscription-based ownership for EVs, instead of the public buying the cars and focusing on its many requirements for ownership.

Here, the Tesla Owners Silicon Valley mentioned that this deal reached a massive $440 million contract for Tesla to bring the electric vehicles for its subscription service. The massive order got the group asking the tech CEO for his thoughts on the new order from them, especially with the new startup company that brings a lot for its future offers on EVs.

Elon Musk Thinks Production is a Challenge

Elon Musk said in his reply via Twitter that production is a "much bigger challenge" than demand, and that there are significant obstacles that the company will face to deliver on the massive order. The company would have to adjust different focuses to answer the order from Autonomy, as well as produce its EVs for the world to purchase directly from them.

Elon Musk and Tesla's EVs

Elon Musk brought the world many technological wonders from the famous car company that revolutionized the electric vehicle world and helped in its popularity in the present. Now, the company is preparing for the arrival of its much-awaited electric pickup truck, the Tesla Cybertruck, that would bring its take on the new EV.

However, despite the fame and massive operations of the company, it also faces several challenges to its sales across the world, especially with the new updates that started the changes for the EV. Recent reports claim that there were low sales for its EVs in China, especially after the new update to Gigafactory Shanghai that changed a lot for the company.

Nevertheless, Tesla is still one of the fastest growing companies regarding electric vehicles and it is known for the sheer focus it has on producing clean energy releases for the world. Musk may think of this as a challenge, but ultimately, the new orders from Autonomy are a massive production for the company that it will soon deliver.
