For those familiar with Chromebook laptops, you already know that this model ranges from $250 to $650.

Of course, some retailers are offering them at lower prices. But, finding one that is only $50 may be an impossible task.

But, Woot, an independent Amazon subsidiary, already offered Chromebooks at the mentioned low price during its sales event, which lasted on June 15.

Models that were available during the sales event included the Lenovo Flex 5, one of the most in-demand affordable laptops in the market.

Since it is a refurbished unit, it cost $270, which is $100 cheaper than the original price of the laptop. The model that cost exactly $50 was the Dell 11-3120 Notebook.

This Chromebook model is integrated with 4GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Although these features are not comparable to other more advanced laptops, they are more than enough for students that only need a device for their classes and streaming activities.

As of writing, there's no update yet from Woot if there will be a similar sales event before 2022. If you want to receive further notifications from the Amazon subsidiary, you can visit this link.

What To Do When Buying Used Laptops

Purchasing used or refurbished laptops still pose security risks. This is why ZDNet provided some things you need to practice when buying a 2nd-hand unit.

One of these is ensuring you can see the laptop unit before sending the payment. It is best for you to have a meet-up with the seller so you can properly check the laptop for some hardware or system issues.

Ask for warranties before ordering a used laptop since these documents can secure your money, especially if the unit has hidden issues.
