The hit battle royale by Epic Games has constantly been engaging in collaborations with celebrated icons. In the past, they have partnered with companies like Marvel and even with stars like Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, and John Cena. This time, it looks like "Fortnite" is on the move for a partnership with Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings."

Fortnite News tells us that on a beach on The Island's southeast edge, players can find the crossover teaser in the works. A member of the NPC Rock family is currently constructing a castle in the sand that is remarkably similar to a fortress from The Lord of the Rings.

Epic Games Is Teasing a Fortnite x Lord of the Rings Collab Event

A "Fortnite" leak suggests that fans could expect a "Lord of the Rings" collaboration event soon. This is what "Fortnite" insider Shiina shared on Twitter after noticing a "Fortnite" beach sand castle resembling 'Helm's Deep', a notable structure in LOTR's fictional world of Middle-earth.

The force of 'The Ring' may awaken on "Fortnite" soon. The "Fortnite" leaks outlet on Twitter speculated that Epic Games is currently teasing a "The Lord of the Rings" collaboration on the battle royale island. Helm's Deep from the novel and the movie series is an ancient castle situated at the foot of a massive mountain formation. There is a long wall with a ramp leading to the castle, and it looks like a past attack or siege has ruined it. The "Fortnite" beach castle in the new map update looks almost exactly like the one from LOTR, except it is made of sand and pebbles.

A report from Gamestop shares that a Lord of the Rings x Fortnite event is genuinely possible and maybe already in the works if not for licensing turnabouts that the LOTR franchise is currently involved with. Recently, game publisher Embracer Group announced plans to purchase Middle-Earth Enterprises.

Epic Games is yet to confirm these speculations to its player base. In the meantime, we can wait for the Rock Kid to finish his Lord of the Rings sand castle at Fortnite Beach. Also, be on the lookout for secret map updates that could be coming to the game in the next few days.
