Besides the Spotify discount, the student plan also brings other bonuses, including a subscription to streaming services like Hulu and Showtime.

But how do you sign up for it?
Spotify Student Plan
It looks like the music streaming and podcasting service gets that students would find its standard subscription a bit too expensive for their budget.
But it is to note that the student plan is not exclusive to Spotify. In fact, its close rival, Apple Music, offers a cheaper option for folks in school too.
As per a report by Business Insider, the streaming service is currently running a limited-time offer, which gives student plan users a free subscription, at least for the first three months.
The limited discount offer is available for Student plan subscribers until Sept. 11.

So, if you want to skip paying three months of the Premium ad-free tier, you only have several days left before the promo is gone.
According to Tom's Guide, a standard Spotify Premium subscription retails for $9.99 monthly. On the other hand, its Student offerings cut the cost by half, making it merely $4.99 a month.

The official website of Spotify boasts that its Premium Student plan brings "music, movies, and television" for only $4.99 a month.
And as such, the Student plan not only brings ad-free listing to millions of songs and countless podcast episodes.
The giant streaming service says that its Student plan users could also watch "thousands of shows and movies" from Hulu. It includes popular titles, such as The Kardashians and Love, Victor.

How to Sign Up for Premium Student Plan
To cut to the chase, here's how to sign to Spotify's Premium Student tier to get all these perks.
Business Insider notes in its report that while the process is similar to a standard plan, it includes some verification steps to prove that you are definitely a student.
- Go to the Premium Student Plan page of Spotify
- Log in to your existing account. (If you do not have one, you may choose to sign up).
- From there, follow the on-screen steps to prove your enrollment status in school.
- Then, proceed to provide your payment details.
