Earlier today, Elon Musk teased a new application for the Tesla FSD beta system for Uber drivers and the Chicago area, claiming that the feature is coming soon for EVs under the ride-hailing application. The tech CEO wants his autonomous driving system for the use of the public through ride-hailing services or his "robotaxi" venture he talked about before.

A Tesla fan shared his experience with the FSD beta feature that recently became available to the world via the public beta release. Despite still being under the beta release and testing phase, the user claimed that the FSD "changed" his life through its use and experience with the system.

The Tesla FSD Beta is currently on version 10.69, providing its users with the latest features and technology.

The fan said he would continue spreading the word about its features and advantages, making it his mission to tell the Chicago and Uber drivers in the area about the Full-Self Driving feature. He added that a "strike reset" is necessary to achieve their end goal of having the FSD for Uber drivers in the massive city.

When is the Tesla FSD Coming to Uber and Chicago?

Here, Elon Musk replied, claiming that the service may arrive in the coming week, giving the FSD to drivers that use Tesla EVs in the area. However, Musk's response was vague, as it did not discuss details regarding what was coming next week. It may be focusing on bringing the FSD beta to more EVs, also coming to Uber drivers that use Tesla as their service car.

It may also mean that the FSD is expanding more to the Chicago area for drivers who have already subscribed to the feature. Nevertheless, it may mean both are coming to Uber drivers and the Chicago area under its expansion plans.

Elon Musk and Tesla's Robotaxi Services

Earlier this year, Elon Musk talked about a significant venture towards an autonomous driving system for the public via Tesla without needing to own the vehicle. It will come as a service and ride-hailing feature under an unknown name, only known as a "robotaxi" venture, bringing people from one place to another without any driver.

The company and its leader previously gave massive highlights to expanding the FSD for many enrollments on different vehicles and drivers, known as its public beta applications.

Users only need to book their ride and enter their destination, which would pick them up from their pinned location, with the Tesla electric cars having no steering wheels. Musk highlighted this feature as part of the robotaxi project that the company is already working on, which will soon arrive to the public once it completes the FSD's development.

It is not news anymore that Musk and Tesla are already working on a robotaxi venture, alongside the FSD's expansion for the world, including those that use the EVs for the ride-hailing service. Uber drivers, who provide Teslas for the public's use, will soon get FSD, focusing on expanding it to the Chicago area next week.
