Poco M5 and M5s are the Latest Edition to the Poco Portfolio
According to the story on GSM Arena, Poco has been spending a lot of its efforts working on new mid-rangers to be added to its "ever-expanding portfolio." The brand has just announced that they will be unveiling their latest edition to their portfolio, the Poco M5, and the Poco M5s.
The unveiling of the two devices will reportedly happen on September 5 through an online event. For those planning to attend the event, a YouTube link has been provided through POCO India with an automatic "notify me" feature as the event is expected to go live in six days as of the time of writing.

Poco Online Launch Event Schedule on September 5
The event will reportedly take place at 8 PM Beijing time or 2 PM CEST, 12 PM GMT, 1 PM UK, 8 AM EDT, or 5 AM PDT. Depending on the viewer's timezone, they will have to access the live at different hours.
As per the poster, the Online Launch Event is expected to launch on September 5 at 20:00 GMT +8.
Poco M5 Might be Packed with the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC
For those that are still unsure as to when the event will happen, another thing that can be done is to enable notifications on the YouTube live video to know when the live will officially start. There is also an indication on YouTube as to what time the video will go live for the user.
The devices that are being talked about are the Poco M5 and the Poco Ms. One of the smartphones was likely teased in the past running on the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. The past rumors point towards the device being the Poco M5.

Other Poco M5 Specs as Per Rumors
Other rumors also point towards the following specs for the Poco M5 and M5 Pro. As per the rumors, the devices could be coming in 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD screens, a 5,000 mAh battery that comes with 33W fast charging, and more.
Other specs include three storage options, namely a 4GB RAM that comes with 64GB of storage, a 4GB RAM that comes with 128GB of storage, and a 6GB RAM that comes with 128GB of storage. The device is also expected to come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
When it comes to the OS, the device is expected to run on Android 12 with MIUI on top of it. As per the rumors, the Poco M5 could be sold for around $190 USD. When it comes to the color options, certain rumors point toward the device potentially being launched in gray, blue, and white.
