The free COVID-19 rapid test kits from the United States government that aims to give the public a way to determine if they caught the virus at home will soon suspend their orders and availability for all. It is advised for the public to order through the website now, giving them a free rapid test kit at their disposal which they may use for future needs.

COVIDTests.gov will soon suspend its orders and deliveries by Friday, September 2, as it no longer received any funding for additional test kits from the US Congress. The website said that no further news regarding the supplemental budget for securing test kits is available, hence its inability to distribute more to those in need.

It means that people may only order up to Friday, September 2; after that, the website will cease operations to take in requests and secure test kits from the government.

Still, people may order until Friday to get their hands on the testing kits that are still in stock, but note that these are running out as of now.

No More Free COVID-19 Test Kit from the US Government

Users may order their free COVID-19 rapid test kits from the dedicated website that the United States Postal Service will soon deliver to their area if they are still eligible to take orders under their names. No further information is available for more test kits, which means that future needs would require users to purchase them from available pharmacies or retailers in the country.

COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits

The world is healing, and it is gaining significant immunity against the SARS-CoV2 virus, known to the world as "COVID-19," after the many vaccines and boosters available for all. Still, people who get symptoms or have close interactions with reported positive cases use test kits widely available to ensure that the virus does not infect them.

For the public's peace of mind, a program launched by the current administration and its health agencies brought US citizens a chance to get free rapid testing kits at home. Earlier this year, the Biden administration secured a massive number of rapid test kits and made them available for order online, with its shipping also included in the freebie.

It allowed people to order for the third time, despite having two earlier chances to get its batch, with the most recent ones allowing four test kits per household on their orders.

This free service for the country is now coming to an end, but before that, it is still available until the weekends for people to secure their rapid test kits courtesy of the United States government. The virus is still present, and the public still has the right to know if they got the COVID-19 virus, making it their obligation to report their positive case as per the tests.
