Valve announced that towards the end of August and early September, the company achieved a new milestone of over 5,000 Steam Games seeing a verification for Steam Deck. It means that 5,000 titles are now Steam Deck Verified and playable via the console through Valve's Steam platform for the portable gaming console.

Titles including "Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered," "Stray," "Elden Ring," and "God of War" were the recent additions to the Steam Deck's library, and note, these are award-winning games from other consoles. These titles were also verified for the Steam Deck at the time of its launch (as per ComicBook Gaming), and it provides gamers with a diverse library for their entertainment needs.

Steam Deck Verified: Why Is It Important?

There is a significance as to why games for the portable console need a "Steam Deck Verified" tag on them, as it would ensure that the title is playable and compatible with the console, or else, it would not be accessible.

Gamers may view the titles that were verified for the Steam Deck to ensure that what they are looking for is available for the console to access and play. It also brings updates to gamers regarding the titles that arrive on the console that also undergoes the verification process.

Valve Steam Deck

The Steam Deck is one of the most important consoles in the world as it features an experience that brings power and performance to handheld portable devices available to all. No other consoles were able to do this, especially as the Steam Deck is a console in its league, featuring a new experience available for all gamers.

The Nintendo Switch is not a competitor to the Steam Deck despite both being portable gaming consoles.

Steam Deck gave the public a massive experience since its release earlier this year, with its stock availability seeing more releases in recent times, delivering to those that preordered and bought it from Valve. The company promised double the production of the Steam Deck console, and this is what the public had been getting at the current time.

Many AAA titles arrived for the Steam Deck via Valve's game offers, and it provides a significant experience for all gamers that make PC and other console's major titles closer to their gaming experience. The Steam Deck made it all possible and the new titles that saw verification opened up the gaming world more to those that already own the console.
