According to Apple Insider's latest report, the base version (iOS 16) still has some bugs that affect activation.

On the other hand, some issues may also cause problems with FaceTime and Messages.

Now, here are the specific issues you may face when you don't update your iPhone 14 to the latest iOS 16.0.1:

  • FaceTime calls and Messages will reach your device.
  • Instead of one Messages conversation, there will be two separate threads.
  • Messages may be shown to come from your email address instead of your phone number.
  • Your iPhone Message may show up green on other iOS devices instead of green, which may confuse the receiver.

How to Update to iOS 16.0.1
