Super-intelligent AI is a massive help to future needs and would bring significant developments to many industries, but researchers claimed that it would not be "controllable" once it is available or created. This new research presents a different point-of-view in the AI development available now, saying it would be far beyond human comprehension to control it.

Super-Intelligent AI is Uncontrollable

According to a research published via the Journal for Artificial Intelligence Research, developing a super-intelligent AI may lead to uncontrollable repercussions, with the system having the capabilities to take over different programs it is assigned to, or worse, the world.

The researchers utilized Alan Turing's halting problem from 1936 under the Computability Theory, aiming to explain what would happen if AI were given the power it needs to self-learn and grow beyond comprehension.

According to Science Alert, the researchers' study said that it might be beyond human comprehension to stop such AI if made by developers. The study further presented that AI might be impossible to control by then.

Superintelligence might be a massive threat in the future, and despite putting in blockers or limiters to the system, it might surpass or break it, making it an unstoppable force present in the systems.

Far Beyond Human Comprehension

As researchers claimed, the super-intelligent AIs to develop soon might surpass human intelligence and go far beyond human comprehension, and this is when things might go south for its developers.

It is not that people cannot develop these types of machine learning tech, but their skills and limiters might not be enough to stop them if they start to become unstable or ignore protocols from the systems claims the researchers.

AI and its Development

Artificial Intelligence is a massive focus from many researchers and companies now, especially as all entities behind it want to create the most advanced AI there is for all to use. However, there are certain risks and dangers already behind this development, especially for modern and future tech, with the EU already pushing for the AI Act to counter its possible harm to humans.

Several companies already have massive faith in self-learning technology, being revered as the future hope of their development and progression in the current industry. One Chinese company called NetDragon Websoft already appointed an AI as its CEO, with Ms. Tang Yu doing her job to oversee its operations and daily needs.

The world is on its way to smarter and more advanced processes, heavily relying on technology to help with its progression.

Nevertheless, there should still be precautions in AI development in the world, and this new study serves as a precaution and call upon all developers to take a step back in their AI development now. It may not be a threat now, but there might come a time when human comprehension and skills may not be able to stop an AI which was made to surpass even the world's most intelligent minds.
