As per the latest report by 9to5 Google, the online listing of the rumored Google Nest router on the e-commerce platform B&H gives us a better look at what to expect.

And it seems that the upcoming Google router comes with Wi-Fi 6E support and a more expensive price tag, suggests the leaked online listing.

The listing carries the product name "Google Nest Wifi Pro 6E Router," hinting that the rumored device is debuting with this name.

Google Nest Wifi Pro leaks hints Wi-Fi 6E support, and a heftier pricing.

The leak also suggests that it comes in four color options, such as white, brown, yellow-green, and light blue. These hues sport catchy monikers, including Snow, Linen, Lemongrass, and Fog, respectively.

But given that new rumored router rocks a "Pro" naming loosely hints that it is a high-end option over the current Google Nest Wifi. It should work similar to how more premium Pixel phones also gets the same nickname like the Google Pixel 7 Pro.

The leaked product name clearly pointed out that the new Nest Wifi router readily offers faster speeds thanks to its Wi-Fi 6E support.

Wi-Fi 6E: Is it Worth Looking Into?

According to a news story by The Verge, the all-new Wi-Fi 6E is a huge upgrade from the previous technology.

For starters, it brings an additional 6 GHz band aside from the good ol' 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz that most routers offer these days.

Essentially, this new band impressively speeds up the internet connection. 9to5 Google notes in the same report that it reaches up to a whopping 9.6 Gbps on average.

However, it is worth mentioning that the new 6 GHz band requires devices that readily support it as well, which are rare, at least for now.

But besides faster speeds, the new band promises to reduce the signal interferences, which has been a frustrating issue with the 5Ghz.
