PS5 Slim is the next version of the console to deliver soon, and according to Insider Gaming, this new console will deliver by 2023 with its new petite body, with massive differences from its 2020 to 2022 versions. The main thing that will change here is the console's dimensions, as well as weight, something which would bring a new era to the latest generation device.

The console would still have the internal components like the original release version of the company, with only one hardware detaching from the body on this release. According to CNET, the rumors claim that it will not change the experience and performance of the console if it releases, the same as the previous hardware from Sony.

PS5 Slim's Detachable Disc Drive

The detachable device is the disc drive from the Standard Edition, and it would connect the external hardware via a USB-C connection to keep its slim figure. There are no names for the latest thinner body of the console, but we dubbed it the "PS5 Slim," something which Sony and PlayStation adapted for its older consoles like the PS3.

Sony's PlayStation 5

As stocks are beginning to be more available for the world from direct shops and retailers, Sony is already seeing rumors of a size change for the PlayStation 5, something which would bring a new console for all. Initial leaks claim that the new consoles coming next year would be lighter by a few kilograms, with the Standard Disc Edition weighing the same as the Digital version during its launch.

This leak claims that it will release at 3.9 kgs, and the new Digital version would only be 3.4 kgs in next year's release.

To top it all off, there is an impending price increase for the PlayStation 5, and it will center on the current inflation for all industries, which made everything more expensive. Many factors surrounding the PS5 production, from its processors and components, all saw a massive price hike, and there are rumors of an updated price coming soon.

The latest rumors for the console are massive, especially with a significant change to the size, weight, and look of the next PS5 coming next year. Of course, there is still no word from Sony regarding the PlayStation's redesign, something which would effectively bring a new era to the console with the PS5 Slim.
