Graded 'Pokemon FireRed' Game Auction

As per the latest report by Comicbook.com, the massive Pokemon franchise is undisputedly one of the most sought-after gaming series.

And as such, a sealed Pokemon video game, released several years ago, has recently sold for roughly more than $3,000 in a recent auction.

The sealed "Pokemon FireRed" game impressively garnered a 9.6 grading, which suggests that this copy is in great condition. Comicbook.com reports that this classical game rocks a 9.6 Wata grade.

And it turns out that it took roughly 21 bids before the graded "Pokemon" title fetched a cool $3,109.

It is worth noting that it is the first-ever Wata 9.6 grade has been auctioned off, according to a recent tweet by Go Collect.

The Twitter account, Go Collect, also shared a photo of the graded "Pokemon" Game Boy Advance title. And by the looks of it, it sure seems like it is still in great condition for a 2004 released game.

The data from the website of Go Collect shows that there are other "FireRed" copies available for sale elsewhere online.

For instance, an eBay listing sells another graded "Pokemon FireRed," but it only sports a WATA 8.5 grade. It also costs relatively cheaper than the Wata 9.6 copy. The bidding starts at around $1,500 with roughly three days left before it closes.

The eBay listing notes that the 8.5 WATA Certified copy is in brand new condition.

But besides the 8.5-grade copy, another listing includes a WATA 9.4 graded "FireRed." However, its asking price skyrockets to a whopping 2,299. The title of the listing points out that it is sealed and in brand new condition.

Meanwhile, other listings are usually in the 85 Wata grade range, making the 9.4 ratings still a rare find.
