Apple has released a dedicated TV remote feature for iPhones upon the launch of iOS 16. This built-in tool comes with more modernized updates, which are miles better than the legacy app.
The Cupertino giant has previously rolled out this feature separately on the Apple App Store. However, the company has ditched it and only assigned it to be a feature that's accessible for all systems.

- Start by accessing the Apple TV interface by clicking the empty gray space on the screen.
- The feature sports a Play/Pause button for easy playback of the clip. The same functionality applies to Apple Music. You can pause and resume playing the song in the background.
- By pressing and holding the button on the Settings, you can access the Control Center.
- There's also a Mute button that is associated with the volume buttons. If it has a gray color, it's a clear indication that it's unavailable on the feature.

Look at the remote icon on the Control Center, and from here, you can access the shortcuts for the Apple TV remote app.
Did you know that an AirPlay 2 connection will show up when you link the Apple TV through the app? If that's so, then you will definitely witness the Now Playing content on the Lock Screen, as well as in the Control Center.
