A model of a Star SAFIRE 380X-HDc surveillance camera is displayed at the at Teldyne Flir stand the Farnborough Airshow, in Farnborough, on July 19, 2022.

The new HomeBase 3 hub can now connect wireless and adds the local processing of video to send a notification when it sees a person, pet, or vehicle. Additionally, it has facial recognition that will inform users whether it is a stranger or not.

Another good feature is that users now have the option to upgrade their storage up to 16 TB of local storage with a hard drive slot. According to Eufy, this is enough for 60 years of motion-activated video footage, and it adds the capability to record continuous video, which is a first for the brand.

Users who have already purchased the EufyCam 2 can swap it from a HomeBase 2 to a HomeBase 3. From here, your existing Eufy camera will now be able to recognize faces, pets, or even random animals that are lurking outside your home. Your camera will also be able to distinguish between vehicles and other moving objects within the camera's coverage.

All of these can be operated via the Eufy app. The app is where users can view recorded and live footage. Additionally, the new cameras now have two-way audio that will let users talk to visitors. There is also a built-in siren that may scare off intruders. You can also integrate the camera with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

Users can get the Edge Security System that includes the HomeBase 3 and two EufyCam 3s. The EufyCam 3 is the first 4K resolution camera of the company that features 1.4 F aperture lens, color night vision, and a built-in spotlight. It also comes equipped with the 13,400mAh battery. Users will also appreciate its interated solar panel that can keep the batteries going longer.
