The Apple 2nd Gen 11-inch iPad Pro was spotted online for $500 off its original price! With how expensive most Apple devices are, the $500 discount is a huge chunk off of its retail tag.

The Popularity of Tablets and How It Faired Compared to Smartphones and Computers

The moment that tablets came out, they were all the craze because they functioned as a hybrid of a phone and a computer at the same time. With apps becoming more and more sophisticated, tablets are starting to grow in popularity.

One thing that a lot of users enjoy when it comes to tablets is their screen size compared to the smartphone and portability compared to the computer. Due to the larger screen compared to the smartphone, they are free to carry out different functions without being limited to the smaller size.

Apple Dominated the Market and Sold More Tablets Compared to Its Android Competitors

According to the story by Phone Arena, Apple was able to sell more tablets compared to any other vendor in the market. Although this remains the case as of press time, Android manufacturers are now starting to catch up.

The iPad is usually the first choice for users that are already used to the Apple ecosystem. This means that if someone already has an iPhone or a Mac, they are more likely to buy an iPad compared to other tablets in the market.

11-Inch iPad Pro is Being Sold at $500 Less than Its Original Price at $1,299 Down to Just $799

The problem with the iPad, however, is that it can cost a steep price as with other Apple products. To make things even harder, Apple rarely sells its products at a massive discount making it difficult for those without a budget to purchase.

Luckily, Phone Arena was able to spot the Apple iPad Pro 11-inch 1TB model being sold at a whopping 38% discount on Adorama. The tablet dropped its price from a regular $1,299 down to just $799 with a massive $500 discount.

Comparison Between the 2020 11-inch iPad Pro vs the 2021 11-inch iPad Pro

This means that the Apple iPad Pro 11-inch 1TB model is now selling for almost half of its original price. For those that have been checking the prices of different Apple products, the massive discount is something shocking, especially for a 1TB model which is usually considered a premium in terms of Apple devices.

The model being sold at a discount is the 2020 11-inch iPad Pro and although a few years behind the current model, the article notes that there weren't many differences at all compared to the 2011 11-inch model but a more detailed comparison can be seen in an article by Pocket-Lint.

The most notable difference between the 2020 model and the more current 2011 is the use of Apple's proprietary M1 chip. The article notes, however, that the chip could be too powerful for some users and the cameras of a tablet aren't really a priority for a lot of buyers.
