Samsung is not known for being a budget phone company, but as of press time, a Galaxy S22 was spotted selling for just $99. The catch, however, is that it is a trade-in, and to get that price, buyers will have to give up an existing phone that falls under the acceptable trade-in.

Samsung Offers Massive Trade In Sale for Galaxy S22 Model

According to the story by Tom's Guide, the sale comes at a time when the Google Pixel 7 and the Google Pixel 7 Pro is getting ready to launch. Both phones will cost $599 and $899, respectively, and if buyers think this might be a little bit too much, they can opt for a cheaper alternative, the Samsung Galaxy S22, at just $99.

While it's highly unlikely that those buying the Samsung Galaxy S22 do not already own a smartphone, the real question is whether or not the smartphone that they own is eligible for trade-in. To make things more complicated, there is also a question of whether the buyer already owns a better smartphone than the Galaxy S22 itself.

Buyers can Purchase the Samsung Galaxy S22 for as Low as $99 Compared to Its Original $799

To put things into perspective as to why $99 for the Samsung Galaxy S22 is so cheap, the original price for that particular smartphone model is $799. However, the article by Tom's Guide shared a link to its Amazon listing, where it can be bought for $699.

Despite the $100 discount, $99 for the Samsung Galaxy S22 is still $600 off its cheapest, already discounted price. This, of course, is not the only price when buyers try to avail of the $99 trade-in price.

How Buyers can Make the Most Out of the Trade-In Price

Buyers should also consider the costs of their previous cell phone when trying to avail of the trade-in price. The most practical situation wherein buyers could take advantage of the trade-in price is if they wanted to purchase either a new phone but didn't have the budget or were eyeing the Samsung Galaxy S22 all along.

For those that aren't sure as to whether their phone models are eligible for a trade-in, luckily, an article by Sam Mobile shows buyers which smartphones they can trade in and what type of discounts they can get.

How to Get the Highest Trade-in Value for Samsung Smartphones

Among the list of trade-ins is the iPhone 12 Pro Max which makes buyers eligible for a $700 trade-in value. This means should buyers wish to trade in their Apple smartphone, they will get a $700 credit to spend on other Samsung smartphones.

Other devices that were included in the list, aside from Samsung smartphones, were Google Pixel phones. The only Pixel phones eligible for trade-in, however, were the Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 4 but for not that much value compared to the latest Apple phones.
