According to the official support page of Apple, you need to take note that your smartwatch should be within range of Bluetooth.

Of course, you should first turn on the Bluetooth on your iPhone. Ideally, it should be within 33 feet or 10 meters of your smartphone.

After that, you can command Siri to snap an image you desire. Just say, "Siri, take a picture."

How to Take Photos on Apple Watch

  4. If you want to tweak the exposure, simply click the shot preview from your smartwatch.
  5. Start taking shots by tapping the Shutter button of your Apple Watch.
