The Meta Quest Pro has finally arrived after some months of speculation. Mark Zuckerberg confirmed its official launch this week.

The VR/AR headset will have a starting price of $1,500. The company says that this new headgear will be aimed at "making a metaverse a reality."

Its recent release might prompt the upcoming mixed-reality wearable from Apple, which is rumored to be available in 2023.

The shipment of orders for Meta Quest Pro will begin on Oct. 25.

According to Macrumors, the Meta Quest Pro will have a lot of surprising features, including pancake lenses and HD outward-facing cameras.

The same report suggests that Apple is already using pancake lenses on its VR headsets. The Cupertino giant wants to continue using it because it's very light and convenient. Although it's sleek, you can easily achieve high-resolution viewing with these lenses.

Another thing that makes it a stand-out VR wearable is its camera which is said to be relying on LCD displays. Macrumors points out that Apple might not utilize the same thing on its rumored headgear. Instead, it might depend on micro OLED screens.

Can the Rumored Apple VR Headset Beat Meta Quest Pro?

At this point, we only know a little information about Apple's rumored mixed-reality wearable. The rumored headset could have more than 12 cameras than the Meta Quest Pro.

In another report by Notebookcheck, the Apple Glasses AR/VR device might tout 28000 PPI OLED display pixel density. This feature can also be found in the current PS VR 2.

As such, it could carry out more functions, such as expression detection, eye tracking, and more. However, Meta might have an edge when it comes to the resolution sensors for the same operations.

Meta claims that the Quest Pro can "capture natural facial expressions." It's also capable of transforming the subject into a virtual avatar.

With the newly-released VR/AR headgear, Meta wants to connect the two worlds in one place. It aims to allow users to work in the virtual setting while using a physical computer peripheral to make this happen.

Aside from that, the Meta Quest Pro sports a Snapdragon XR2+ chipset, along with 256GB internal storage and 12GB RAM. There's also a 45W charging dock and a Touch Pro controller for 3D tracking.

As of now, you can now pre-order the Meta Quest Pro on this link. The company says that it will start the shipments for the new VR headset on Oct. 25.

Meanwhile, ByteDance managed to sell over 10,000 Pico 4 VR headsets in China just two weeks after its launch. It's the only viable option to buy in the country since the Quest 2 is not available in the region.
