People wait in line for a chance to sample new games for Nintendo Switch at the 2019 Electronic Entertainment Expo, also known as E3, opening in Los Angeles, California on June 11, 2019.

But for now, it appears that the special Pokémon edition of the Nintendo Switch OLED is only available for pre-order in two giant retailers.

Nintendo Switch OLED Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition

As per the latest report by Mashable, the giant Japanese firm, Nintendo, unveiled the upcoming Switch OLED: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition last September.

Although it is slated to start shipping to customers by next month, the special edition Switch OLED could now be pre-ordered starting this October 11.

According to the website of Nintendo, the special edition Switch will only start to be available on Nov. 4, which is still several days from today.

The renowned gaming firm highlights that the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition showcases stunning illustrations of various Legendary Pokémons that have appeared in the gaming title of the same name.

To be more precise, Legendary Pokémons, namely Miraidon and Koraidon, appear on the glossy white dock of the hybrid gaming console. Both of them rock the respective colors, which are Scarlet and Violet.

Apart from Koraidon and Miraidon, the special edition Nintendo console also includes other Pokémons that appear in "Scarlet & Violet."

The three partner Pokémons, Quaxly, Sprigatito, and Fuecoco, which "Scarlet & Violet" players choose when playing the game, are seen on the rear of the OLED Switch.

On top of the illustrations on the dock and the Switch itself, the special edition release also spiced up the Joy-Con controllers with subtle illustrations. It sports the symbols of the schools from the role-playing game, the Uva Academy, and the Naranja Academy.

Not to mention that the Joy-Con controllers also flaunt the colors of the two legendary Pokémons.

However, the grip of the controllers does not have any special illustrations or designs. Instead, it still features the typical black look with the Switch logo in the middle.

How Much is the Switch OLED Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition

Now that the Switch OLED Pokémon Scarlet & Violet edition is available for pre-order, how much is it priced?

Mashable notes in its report that special edition Switch consoles retail for $359.99. It is worth mentioning that the non-Pokemon version of the gaming device, which rocks the iconic Neon Blue and Neon Red colorway only costs $10 less.
