Indian mobile users browses through the Chinese owned video-sharing 'Tik Tok' app on a smartphones in Amritsar on June 30, 2020. - TikTok on June 30 denied sharing information on Indian users with the Chinese government, after New Delhi banned the wildly popular app citing national security and privacy concerns.

Link in Bio!

Based on a report from The Verge, TikTok collaborated with Linktree for their new feature called Profile Kit. Once they integrate profiles with Linktree, it allows users to display their own content up to six videos on the link.

This feature is perfect for every TikTok user who always says "Link in Bio!", where all of their compiled links to their other social media networks are located. It may boost their content as several people will be seeing their own videos on the link. People can also browse the creator's profile and play their videos with them leaving the link, which adds an interaction between the creator and their followers.

Profile Kit is included in TikTok for Developer Program alongside SDK Login Kit, Video Kit, Embed Video, and Green Screen Kit. Profile Kit's addition to the list may be TikTok's move to expand the platform's ecosystem and visibility on the internet.

"TikTok is one of the most loved and popular entertainment platforms, driving trends, shaping culture, and connecting people from across the globe to form vibrant communities," Linktree stated on their blog.

Linktree Partnership

There are other platforms that have the same feature as Linktree in the platform such as Carr, Bio.fm, Beacons, Later, Koji, and more. But the collaboration with Linktree was a clear decision for TikTok as they are currently the biggest at the moment. According to TechCrunch, the company landed a $1.3 billion valuation with only $110 million in funding.

Over 30 million TikTok users have used Linktree to display other personal information outside the application. The platform also stated that every single day, almost five million views from TikTok users have visited Linktree profiles.

Now available in the US and most regions globally, our new editing tools empower people to enjoy more creative freedom, share richer stories, and bring their content ideas to life across formats."
