NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JULY 21: A Taco Bell restaurant stands along a Queens street on July 21, 2021 in New York City. The popular fast food chain is facing shortages of some key ingredients on its menu due to global supply chain disruptions that has affected everything from food delivery to the availability of automobiles.

Taco Bell will use Tritium fast chargers using ChargeNet's software to integrate solar energy and energy storage solutions. Diversified Energy Group, one of Taco Bell's biggest franchisee owners, is partnering with ChargeNet to let customers charge up while they eat.

According to ChargeNet, its stations are compatible with all EV connector types, and on average, a 100-mile charge in 20 minutes will cost around $20.

ChargeNet is working with quick-serve restaurants to catalyze the EV revolution. They use solar and energy storage solutions that will also help keep restaurant utility costs down.

More Charging Stations Soon?

Taco Bell's first charging station is located at 465 El Camino Real location. The restaurant chain is looking to add 120 additional locations across California.

Here are some of the benefits for Taco Bell:

  • More electrical connections for ChargeNet
  • Accurate energy monitoring
  • Reduced electricity costs with solar panels
  • Fast charging at locations with EV drivers in mind

A Big Step for EV Adoption

Taco Bell's charging station has been a big step for EV adoption. With this move, more fast-charging stations will no doubt pop up across the country to help EV drivers in need.

EV drivers will no longer be so reliant on gas stations or charging their electric cars at home. More establishments will want to install EV charging stations across the country. Hopefully, this will encourage more car manufacturers to develop better electric vehicles with longer range.

EV charging stations are a big step for low-carbon transport. More charging stations will be built around the country to meet the growing demand for hydrogen and electric vehicles. We hope to see more of these charging stations at fast-food restaurants.

With more charging stations available, EV drivers can get back on the road with a full charge and continue to use the alternative energy technology.

The EV industry is growing by the day, but the road to widespread EV adoption is a long one. If we want to get there, we need to build more charging stations and support the EV industry in any way possible. EV charging stations are already a big step for EV drivers.

As the EV industry grows, we will see more of these charging stations popping up around the country. Fast-food restaurants such as Taco Bell have a big role to play in the EV revolution. Hopefully, more restaurants will follow its lead.
