Google Meet UI Upgrade for Samsung Smart TVs Now Available—What Changed?

An upgrade arrived for Samsung Smart TVs and their owners when accessing the app via their massive displays, and it delivers a new experience for users with the better version of the video conferencing app. The app still has no formal launch present, and the companies have not yet announced Meet's integration for smart TVs now.

Despite this, the app already appeared on Samsung's app store for the Tizen-powered televisions that have it available for people to check if it is compatible with their hardware.

Samsung's App Store for its smart televisions lists the new Google Meet app available for devices, and it comes with an upgraded version of the feature available for its users. The new upgrade delivers on the Google Meet experience which combined the Duo with it, now acting as Google's sole video conferencing app for the public.

It is also a free application available for the public to download and install on their smart TVs, bringing the feature available to everyone who owns a Samsung Smart TV.

However, it would depend on the TV model if it is available and compatible with their device, something which Samsung would determine once users head to the App Store.

New UI for Google Meet on Bigger Displays

Google Meet's new UI for the smart TVs focuses on the dark mode that is now available for larger displays, like how it appears for portable devices. On the other hand, Google also upgraded its remote control features that would work well with what Samsung has available, making it easier for users to navigate the app.

According to 9to5Google, the renewed Meet experience is available for Samsung Smart TVs with its formal launch coming soon.

Samsung and Google's Partnership

Samsung and Google have one of the best partnerships in the tech industry now, as the companies are known for their mutual relationship that complements each other's products in the market. One of the ventures here is towards Google's third-generation Tensor chip that delivers on the silicon chip for its Pixel smartphones that Samsung will manufacture soon.
