Apple just recently introduced a new Low Power Mode option for its Apple Watch Ultra. The feature promises users up to 60 hours of battery life between charges.

Apple Watch Ultra Gets a New Low Power Mode

According to the story by PC Mag, the new feature was described as an adventurer's take. Low Power Mode disables different features that take up a chunk of the smartwatch's battery.

There is also a Workout version that limits the heart rate readings and GPS features to maximize the smartwatch's battery life. When enabled, users can still get heart rate readings once every minute and GPS readings once every two minutes.

Cellular connectivity will also be reduced with the function to be on demand when users are not near their iPhones. The feature also chokes background features like the auto-workout detection feature to help save battery.

How to Enable Low Power Mode for Apple Watch Ultra

To get the power-saving feature, Apple Watch Ultra users must download the watchOS 9.1 operating system. Once updated, users will first have to go to Settings, click on Battery, select Battery Health, and choose Optimized Charge Limit.

After this, users must go back to the home screen and open their Control Center. Once this is done, users can simply click on the battery percentage and enable Low Power Mode by scrolling to the bottom and clicking Turn On.

Different Features Will Function Less than on Normal Mode

To get even more power savings, users can enable the Workout feature by going to Settings and clicking on Workout. After this, players can choose the Fewer GPS and heart rate readings feature.

Users are also urged to charge their Ultra to 100% before they head out on an excursion. The function will also help boost battery life for users to get up to 60 hours on a single charge.

Low Power Mode was First Introduced Through the WatchOS 9 for Older Apple Watches

The feature helps maximize the device's battery to include 15 hours of hiking, walking, or running, with over 600 time checks. This includes 35 minutes of app use, three minutes of talk, and even sleep tracking for up to 15 hours.

Low Power Mode was introduced via watchOS 9 and is already available on more dated Apple Watches. The feature disables or limits different battery-intensive features, like the always-on display, automatic workout-tracking, and heart health notifications.

The different bands that buyers can choose from are the Trail Loop, Ocean Band, and Alpine Loop. For those that don't know, the Apple Watch Ultra price is set at a whopping $799, as seen on GSM Arena.
