As GameSpot spotted via PokeJungle on Twitter, the new set of footwear will surely hit the Pokemon nostalgia within you thanks to Gen 1 starter-inspired themes.

The source which regularly reports about Pokemon news, rumors, accessories, and other stories, says that the Pikachu theme will get two designs. The sneakers embedding Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle designs will only get one variation.

The color of each shoe corresponds to the respective types of the first-ever Pokemon starters. The Bulbasaur Puma sneakers spot an element of green, while the Squirtle variant boasts a touch of white and blue. Meanwhile, the Charmander design features red and orange colors which symbolize its fire typing whereas Pikachu, of course, has a yellow color due to its electric typing.

It should be noted that PokeJungle is not affiliated with The Pokemon Company and Nintendo so it's still not an official announcement. However, the official Twitter account of Pokemon recently hinted that an upcoming collaboration with Puma is already underway. The tweet has an icon of a pair of eyes and red sneakers. With this, we could potentially see the Puma sneakers with Pokemon designs in the next few days.
